The Custom Tabs tab lets you extend your community navigation with links to external resources, tools, or embedded apps. You can create up to 10 custom tabs, set who can see them, and even restrict them to specific pricing tiers.

Visibility and tier restrictions

Each tab can have one of four visibility levels:
  • Public — visible to everyone
  • Members — visible only to community members
  • Admins — visible only to admins
  • Draft — hidden from everyone
If you have pricing tiers set up, you can also restrict a tab to members on specific tiers (plus admins). If no tiers are selected, the tab follows the general visibility setting.
Use tier-restricted tabs to create gated content areas for paid members, such as bonus resources or exclusive tools.

Frequently asked questions

Select App links to a Supa Chat app you have already deployed and embeds it inside the community. Manual URL opens any external website in a new tab or iframe.
Yes. Open the three-dot menu next to any custom tab and choose Duplicate. The copy will appear at the bottom of the list with the same URL and visibility settings.
Only deployed apps appear in the selector. Make sure your app is deployed and associated with your account. Undeployed or draft apps will not be listed.
No. You must have at least one pricing tier configured in Monetization → Pricing before you can restrict tabs by tier.

Troubleshooting

Make sure the tab name is filled in, under 22 characters, and uses at most 2 words. For Manual URL tabs, the URL must start with https:// or http://.
Check the visibility setting. If it is set to Draft or restricted to a tier, it will not show for all members. Also confirm you have not reached the 10 tab limit.
Reordering requires a stable internet connection. If the drop does not save, use the arrow buttons instead. Refresh the page if the order looks incorrect.
Some websites block iframe embedding for security reasons. Try switching to a Manual URL tab, which opens the link in a new tab instead of embedding it.
