The Apps tab lets you build a community app store with third-party tools and integrations. You can add apps, assign owners, set categories, and control visibility so members see only what you choose.

Add a new app

1
Open your community Settings and select Apps.
2
Click Add App at the bottom of the list.
3
Upload a hero image to serve as both the banner and app icon. Images must be under 10 MB.
4
Enter the App Name and Link (required). Add an optional Description, Category, and comma-separated Tags.
5
Choose a Type (Website, Web App, API, Tool, Integration, or Other) and optionally assign an App Owner from your admins.
6
Toggle Published and Featured as desired, then click Add App.

Publish, feature, or edit an app

Each app card shows its current status and quick actions:
  • Publish / Unpublish controls whether members can see the app.
  • Feature / Unfeature promotes the app to the featured section in the store.
  • Edit opens the form to change any field, replace the image, or reassign the owner.
  • Delete permanently removes the app after confirmation.
Drag the grip handle on any app card to reorder your store. Order saves automatically when you drop the card.

Search and filter

Use the search bar to find apps by name, description, category, or tag. Choose a category filter to narrow the list. When filters are active, drag-to-reorder is disabled until you clear them.

FAQ

The uploader accepts JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF files up to 10 MB. The same image is used for both the hero banner and the app icon, so choose a square or wide image that looks good at both sizes.
No. Unpublished apps are only visible to owners and admins in the Apps settings tab. Members will not see them in the community app store until you toggle Published on.
There is no hard limit on the number of apps you can add. You can build a large store and organize it with categories, tags, and custom sort order.
Yes. Click Edit on any app card and choose a different admin from the App Owner dropdown. The owner name and profile image will update on the app card immediately.

Troubleshooting

Make sure the file is under 10 MB and is a supported image format (JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF). If the upload still fails, check your network connection and try again. Large images may take a moment to process.
The App Name and Link fields are required. Fill in both fields and the button will become active. The Description, Category, and Tags are optional.
Reordering is disabled while search or category filters are active. Clear the search text and set the category filter to All categories, then drag the grip handle again.
Verify the app is toggled to Published. If it is still missing, ask the member to refresh their browser. Changes usually appear within a few seconds, but caching can delay visibility.
