View your membership details

Your membership card displays your current role, status, join date, and the community’s total member count. Roles shown include Owner, Admin, Moderator, or Member. Next to your join date, you will also see how long you have been a member.

Upgrade or subscribe

If the community offers paid access, you will see one of these pricing sections:
  • Community subscription: Choose monthly or yearly billing. A savings badge appears when yearly is cheaper.
  • Membership tiers: Pick from published tiers, often with a “Popular” highlight on the recommended option.
  • Lifetime access: One-time purchase for permanent access.
  • Freemium upgrade: Upgrade from free access to a paid plan.
1
Select your billing cycle with the Monthly / Yearly toggle.
2
Click the primary action button, such as Subscribe now, Get started, or Upgrade now.
3
Complete checkout through the Stripe-hosted page.
A free trial is included when the community offers one. The trial length is shown next to the price.

Purchase additional products

Some communities sell extra products or add-ons. Available products appear in a grid with their price and a Purchase button. These are separate from your base membership.

Manage your subscription

If you have an active paid subscription and the community uses Stripe, a Manage subscription card appears.
1
Click Billing portal in the Manage subscription card.
2
Update your payment method, view invoices, or cancel in the Stripe Customer Portal.

Leave a community

Leaving a community removes your access to all content. You may need a new invite to rejoin.
1
Scroll to the Leave community section.
2
Click Leave this community.
3
Confirm by clicking Yes, leave in the dialog.
Community owners cannot leave until ownership is transferred to another member.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Open the Billing portal from the Manage subscription card and change your billing cycle there. The change takes effect at the start of your next billing period.
Your posts and comments usually remain visible, but you lose access to the community feed, DMs within that community, and any member-only content. You may need a new invite to rejoin.
The card only appears when the community uses Stripe for billing and you have an active paid subscription. Free members or communities on other billing platforms will not see it.
Stripe Customer Portal supports pausing in some configurations. Open the portal and look for a pause option. If it is not available, contact the community owner.
Only the current owner can transfer ownership. This is usually done through the community admin panel, not the Membership tab. Ask the owner to promote another member to Owner first.

Troubleshooting

Try a different browser or disable ad blockers and privacy extensions that may block Stripe scripts. Ensure cookies and JavaScript are enabled. If the issue persists, contact the community owner.
Refresh the Membership tab and wait a few seconds for Stripe to sync. If the status still looks wrong, open the Billing portal to verify your active subscription directly with Stripe.
Owners cannot leave a community until ownership is transferred. If you are an owner, promote another member to Owner first. If you are not an owner, try refreshing the page.
Confirm the community has published paid plans. If plans exist but the button is unresponsive, clear your browser cache and try again, or switch to a different browser.
