The Metrics tab gives you a snapshot of how your Instaloops community is performing. You can view member growth, post activity, and financial numbers. Switch between time periods to spot trends and decide where to focus your efforts.
Only community owners and admins with Manage settings permission can access this tab.
Metrics tab in Instaloops community settings

Change the time period

1
Open your community settings and select the Metrics tab.
2
Use the dropdown at the top right to choose 7 days, 14 days, 30 days, or 90 days.

Summary cards

The top row shows quick stats:
  • Total members — the current member count.
  • New members — members who joined during the selected period.
  • Active rate — the percentage of members who engaged during the period, plus the raw count.
  • MRR — monthly recurring revenue, visible only to owners when paid tiers are enabled.

Member growth chart

A bar chart plots new members per day. Hover over a bar to see the exact count for that date. If your community is new, the chart fills in as members join.

Post activity chart

A bar chart shows how many posts were made each day across all categories. This helps you see which days drive the most conversation.

Activity heatmap

When enough data is available, a heatmap displays weekly activity intensity. Darker blocks mean more engagement.

Retention and conversion

Owners also see Retention rate and Conversion rate cards. These appear once your first member cohort completes a cycle and paid tiers are active.
Empty charts are normal for new communities. Send your first invite or start a thread to begin collecting data.

FAQ

MRR only appears when paid tiers are enabled and at least one member has upgraded. If you are on a free plan or have not launched paid tiers yet, the card will remain blank.
Active rate is the percentage of total members who performed at least one engaging action during the selected period. The raw count of active members is shown alongside the percentage.
Instaloops does not currently offer a CSV or spreadsheet export from the Metrics tab. You can manually record the summary numbers or screenshot the charts for your records.
No. The heatmap aggregates all community activity into weekly blocks. It does not identify specific members or track personal actions.

Troubleshooting

If your community is new, there may not be enough historical data to fill a 30 or 90 day chart. Try switching to 7 days first. As your community ages, the longer periods will populate automatically.
This is usually a temporary network issue. Refresh the page and wait a few seconds. If the tab still does not load, check whether your role has the Manage settings permission.
Retention rate requires a completed member cohort cycle and active paid tiers. If you recently enabled paid tiers, wait until the first billing cycle completes before expecting this metric to appear.
