Only community owners and admins with Manage settings permission can access this tab.
The Products tab lets you sell individual items such as courses, challenges, and digital resources. You can create products directly in Instaloops or import them from an existing Stripe account.

Before you start

You must connect Stripe in the InstaPay tab before you can create products with payment processing. If Stripe is not connected, the New Product button is disabled and a warning banner appears.

Create a product

Go to Settings and open the Products tab.

Click New Product.

Fill in the form:
  • Product Name: the title members see at checkout
  • Type: choose from App, Course, Challenge, Community, Resource, Mastermind, or Membership
  • Price: the amount in dollars
  • Payment Type: One Time, Monthly, Annual, Free Trial, or Metered Token Usage
  • Description (optional): a short summary
For free trials, also set the trial length in days. Click Create Product when ready. The product is automatically synced with Stripe.

Import products from Stripe

If you already have products in Stripe, import them instead of recreating them.

In the Products tab, click Import from Stripe.

Search or browse your Stripe product list.

Select the products you want to import. Already-imported items are marked and skipped automatically.

Choose a Type for the imported products.

Click Import.

Edit a product

Click the pencil icon next to any product to open the edit panel. You can set:
  • Membership level (pricing tier): tie the product to a tier from the Pricing tab
  • Purchase / upgrade link: a custom URL sent to members who run out of minutes
  • Included products: other products granted automatically when this one is purchased

Delete a product

Click the trash icon next to a product. You must confirm the deletion in a dialog. Deleting a product removes it from Instaloops but does not delete it from Stripe.

Set membership levels

Membership levels tie access tiers to specific products. For example, a Gold level can be linked to a premium course so buyers get elevated access.

Scroll to the Membership Levels section.

Enter a Level Name (for example, Gold).

Select the Product it applies to.

Add an optional Description.

Click Add Level.
You must create at least one product before you can add membership levels.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. You can update the name, description, and linked tier at any time. Price changes may require a new Stripe price to be created, and existing subscribers will stay on their original price until they upgrade or cancel.
A product is a single item someone buys, like a course. A pricing tier is a subscription plan that grants ongoing access. You can link a product to a tier so buyers automatically get that tier’s benefits.
Yes. Create separate products for each payment type, or use Metered Token Usage for pay-as-you-go billing. Each product syncs independently with Stripe.
Stripe is not connected. Go to the InstaPay tab and connect your Stripe account. Once connected, the button becomes active.
Yes. When you import from Stripe, the default price and currency are preserved. You can assign an Instaloops product type to organize it in your community.

Troubleshooting

Make sure your Stripe account is connected and not in restricted mode. Go to the InstaPay tab and check the account status. If it shows restricted, complete any pending verification in the Stripe Dashboard, then return and click Sync Products.
Stripe prices are cached. Click Sync Products in the InstaPay tab to pull the latest data. If the price is still wrong, verify the default price in your Stripe Dashboard.
You need to create products first. Add at least one product, then return to the Membership Levels section. The dropdown will populate automatically.
Confirm you are clicking the trash icon and not the pencil icon. A confirmation dialog should appear. If it does not, refresh the page and try again.
